This SOP applies to the process of generating, refining, and finalizing featured images for pillar blog posts.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creator: Reviews the blog topic and creates text-to-image prompts using ChatGPT.
  • Graphic Designer: Uses FAL.AI to generate and refine the image, ensuring alignment with branding.
  • Content Manager: Reviews, approves, and uploads the finalized image to the blog post.

  • Featured Image: The primary visual representation of a blog post, displayed on the website and in social media previews.
  • Text-to-Image Prompt: A structured input used to generate AI-driven images based on textual descriptions.
  • Pillar Blog Post: A comprehensive, high-value content piece that serves as a cornerstone of a content strategy.

  • ChatGPT: For generating structured, detailed text-to-image prompts.
  • FAL.AI: For AI-powered image generation and refinement.

Prerequisites and Preparation

Step by Step Procedure

Step 1: Understand the Blog Post

  1. Review the blog title and topic to fully understand the key concepts and themes.
  2. Identify whether the image should be realistic or vector-style, depending on the context and tone of the blog post.

 

Step 2: Create a Text-to-Image Prompt with ChatGPT

  1. Use ChatGPT to generate a detailed text-to-image prompt for the featured image.

    • Input the following command into ChatGPT:
      “Create a text-to-image prompt for my blog titled ‘[BLOG TITLE].’ The image should be [realistic/vector], aligning with the blog’s topic and theme. Provide a detailed description of the scene, elements, and style that visually represents the key concepts of the blog. Ensure the prompt is specific, engaging, and relevant to the blog’s subject matter.”

  2. Review and refine the generated prompt to ensure accuracy and alignment with the blog’s message and tone.

 

Step 3: Generate the Image in FAL.AI

  1. Open FAL.AI and log in to your account.

  2. Navigate to the flux models. Use one of the following based on your quality needs:

    • fal-ai/flux/dev (for standard generation).

    • fal-ai/flux-pro (for higher-quality output).

  1. Copy the refined text-to-image prompt from ChatGPT and paste it into the FAL.AI input field.

  2. Select the appropriate generation settings, such as resolution or style modifiers (if applicable).

  3. Run the model to generate the image.

 

Step 4: Review and Edit the Image

  1. Evaluate the generated image to ensure it matches the following criteria:

    • Clearly represents the blog’s theme and topic.

    • Aligns with your brand’s visual identity (colors, tone, style).

    • Is engaging and professional enough to serve as a featured image.

  2. If necessary, adjust the prompt in FAL.AI and regenerate until the image meets expectations.

 

Step 5: Finalize and Export

  1. Once satisfied with the image, export the final version from FAL.AI.

  2. Save the image with a clear and consistent naming convention, e.g., [Blog_Title]_Featured_Image.jpg.

  3. Upload the image to the blog post as the featured image.
