Website Migration – Website migration refers to the process of moving a website from one environment to another. This can involve changes to the website’s location, platform, structure, or design. The goal is to maintain or improve the website’s functionality, user experience, and search engine optimization (SEO) performance during and after the migration.
Pages / Webpage – A web page (or webpage) is a document on the Web that is accessed in a web browser.[1] A website typically consists of many web pages linked together under a common domain name. The term “web page” is thus a metaphor of paper pages bound together into a book.
Plugins – A WordPress plugin is a piece of software that “plugs into” your WordPress site. Plugins can add new functionality or extend existing functionality on your site, allowing you to create virtually any kind of website, from ecommerce stores to portfolios to directory sites.

6.1. Preparation and Prerequisites
- Google Drive Backup Folder for websites.
- Plugin Updates SOP
- Pre Launch SOP Procedure
- After Migrating Post Launch SOP Procedure
6.2 Timeline for Task Completion
- 30 Minutes – 1 Hour per website depending on the website size, number of plugins and number of pages.
6.3. Step-by-Step Procedure
Before Proceeding on Website Migration make sure you’ve already done the following items.
- Post Launch QA
- SEO Press Setup
- Website Updates

Login to devsite for example. https://drbrianharkins.dev-sites.us/letmein/

Hover to all in one wp migration plugin then backup.

Click on Create Backup

After the backup is created click download

Login to Live Website URL. example. https://www.drbrianharkins.com/letmein/

Hover on All In One WP Migration of it then click on “Import”

Import from file the select the website all in one backup that you’ve exported and downloaded on earlier step.

Wait for the upload to complete

After the upload is completed, click the proceed button.

Wait for the import to complete then double check the website, refer to Post Launch QA SOP.

- Websites should not encountered any form of error upon updates

- Website will not trigger any form of security issues when all plugins, themes and wordpress cores are up to date.
8. Exception and Problem Handling
- Website Error
- Troubleshooting website that has encountered an error upon updating
- Deactivate Plugins that took the update which cause an error
- Deactivate Theme that too the update which cause an error
- Doing all and still issues occur restore the backup from the previous week
Import Failed
- Make sure do not close the browser during import
- Should have stable internet connection
